Battery & no-start FAQ
Can you replace my battery at my house?
Yes. We carry common battery sizes in the van and can install on the spot for most cars and trucks. Uncommon batteries we'll source and quote up front.
How do I know if it's the battery or the alternator?
That's exactly what the diagnostic is for. We load-test the battery and check the alternator's output under load. About 60% of "won't start" calls are the battery; the rest are charging or starter related.
Will you come to a parking lot or side of the road?
Yes, anywhere safe in York County. Office lots, grocery stores, apartment complexes, quiet shoulders. If your car is in an unsafe spot, we'll help you decide whether to move it first.
Do you replace starters on-site?
Most starters, yes — depending on the vehicle. Some engines (certain V6 and V8 layouts) make it impractical on a driveway, and we'll tell you up front if that's the case.
What about alternators?
Most alternators we can replace mobile. Some packaging (tight engine bays, awkward bracketing) is better in a shop — we'll tell you which yours is.
How much does it cost?
Battery replacement varies by size. Diagnostic fee is flat and rolled into the repair if you book. Call or text with your year/make/model for a real number.
